First day in Paris for Reuben

ParisDay1.jpeg

First day in Paris for Jacaranda School graduate Reuben Salima who is starting his one-year scholarship at Don Bosco International Media Academy. One year studying the art and techniques of movie-making, together with students from around the world - and learning how to direct and produce his own movies too. Lots of learning ahead for Reuben - so he can tell his own stories - and then share his knowledge with the students of Jacaranda School as well as other youth in Malawi.

Reuben joined Jacaranda School in Grade 2 when he was 7 years old - and then went all the way to Grade 12. Throughout his years at Jacaranda School, Reuben developed a passion for the arts - drawing, painting, and then dancing, acting, until he recently developed an interest for special effects make-up for movies - which he has been teaching our children as part of our co-curriculum classes. He is a gifted artist and illustrator.

Upon seeing Reuben’s portfolio, Don Bosco International Media Academy offered Reuben a one-year scholarship. We wish him all the best for this exciting year ahead!
